Which transmitters reach your postcode?

Type a postcode. Nothing is sent anywhere — the lookup runs in your browser against a small file for your postcode area.

What a postcode can and cannot tell you

Predictions here are made for the Output Area a postcode falls in — the Census unit of roughly 130 households and a few hundred metres across. That is deliberate rather than a shortcut: the terrain data has a 50 m grid and the location-to-location variation in signal is larger than the difference between two postcodes in the same street. Predicting per postcode would take eight hours longer and imply a precision the model does not have.

What that means in practice: a lookup tells you which transmitter should be your best bet and which are worth trying. It cannot tell you whether your aerial, on your roof, behind your neighbour's tree, will work. The method page is specific about which of those the model covers.
