What the colours mean

Each area is coloured by its best transmitter of that kind — the one the postcode lookup would recommend there. Grey means no transmitter of that kind is predicted to reach it.

What you are looking at

The country is divided into the 238,895 Census Output Areas the predictions were made for — roughly 130 households each. Every one is coloured by how well its best transmitter should reach it, so the boundaries you can see between colours are the places where the best transmitter changes, or where the ground stops cooperating.

Nothing here is measured. Every colour is a P.1812 prediction over 50 m terrain data, and the method page sets out what that does and does not account for. If you want an answer for a specific address, the postcode lookup gives the same model's answer with the distance, the bearing and the margin written out.
