Every mast Ofcom publishes for this band, where it stands. Click one for what it carries, how far it reaches and which way to point an aerial. Choose a shading above to colour the ground as well.
Every transmitter of this kind the model predicts will reach an area, counted — not just the best one. This is the map of how much choice a place has, and it is the one that shows where there is none.
Each area coloured by its best transmitter of that kind — the one the postcode lookup would recommend. It is not where any one transmitter reaches: a mast can be receivable across a county and be the strongest in none of it. Grey means nothing of that kind is predicted to reach.
Everywhere the model puts a usable signal from the one you picked, shaded by how much is left over. Other transmitters reach most of this ground too — that is what makes it a different picture from the strongest-one map, and a much larger one.
